Dr Rob Will
Principle Investigator
Dr. Rob Will is a leading Consultant Rheumatologist and Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Western Australia. He is a Director of the Colin Bayliss Research and Teaching Unit, he leads a comprehensive portfolio of rheumatology trials, driving innovation across diverse conditions including Rheumatoid Arthritis, Psoriatic Arthritis, Spondyloarthropathies, Fibromyalgia, and Systemic Lupus Erythematosus, Osteoarthritis and Osteoporosis. A former President of the Australian Rheumatology Association (WA), Dr. Will integrates decades of research leadership with active clinical practice across Western Australia. His commitment to advancing patient care is further reflected in his role as a dedicated educator for medical students at the University of Notre Dame and The University of Western Australia.
Charlene Caspersz
Sub-Investigator
Charlene Caspersz is a distinguished medical professional with over four decades of experience since graduating from the University of Western Australia in 1979. After a dedicated career as a General Practitioner at Parkwood Medical Centre, she has transitioned into retirement from general practice. A highly respected clinical expert, Charlene now focuses her professional time exclusively on her role as an accredited joint assessor for clinical trials. Since 2000, she has served as a Sub-Investigator for RK Will Pty Ltd, contributing her extensive knowledge of Rheumatoid and Osteoarthritis to specialized medical research.
Dr. Farhat Bashir
Senior Trial Coordinator
Dr. Farhat Bashir is a Senior Trial Coordinator and clinical research expert with over a decade of experience in medical science. Holding a PhD from Curtin University and an MBBS, she specializes in the strategic execution of clinical research projects. Within the department, Farhat expertly manages study startup and ethics, ensuring all trials meet rigorous regulatory standards. Her technical expertise as Clinical Research Coordinator and her background in treating patients across all age groups allow her to bridge the gap between complex research requirements and high-quality patient care.
Jody Minervini
Budgets and Contract Specialist
Jody Minervini is the cornerstone of business operations for Dr. Rob Will and his associated entities, including the Colin Bayliss Research and Teaching Unit. As a highly experienced professional, she manages comprehensive bookkeeping and financial oversight across all businesses. Beyond her financial expertise, Jody plays a pivotal role in the clinical trial process, expertly negotiating and managing complex contracts and study budgets. Known for her efficiency and proactive approach, she is the primary point of contact for operational execution, ensuring that all administrative and contractual requirements are met with precision and excellence.
Ravneet Kaur
Clinical Trial Coordinator
Ravneet Kaur is a Clinical Trial Coordinator at the Colin Bayliss Research and Teaching Unit. A Biomedical Sciences graduate from the University of Newcastle, she is certified in Good Clinical Practice. she brings a multifaceted background spanning clinical research, laboratory operations, and emergency response. Ravneet specializes in the end-to-end operational management of clinical trials. Additionally, she contributes to community safety as a First Responder with St John WA.
Sage Findlay
Research Assistant
Sage Findlay is a Research Assistant at the Colin Bayliss Research and Teaching Unit, where she provides expert assistance in clinical trial operations. A Bachelor of Medical Science graduate ,Sage is GCP qualified and highly skilled in technical laboratory environments, Her professional background is marked by a strong ability to manage complex data and scientific reporting, having previously served as a Production Scientist and Health Assessor. By combining her technical research skills with a background in front-desk medical operations, Sage ensures meticulous attention to detail and accurate documentation within the research department.
Cassandra and Austin
Medical Reception Team
Cassandra and Austin serve as the essential first point of contact for Dr. Robert Will’s practice, providing professional administrative support that extends across all his business entities, including the Colin Bayliss Research and Teaching Unit. In addition to managing the daily operations of the specialist clinic, they play a vital role in supporting clinical trial logistics by expertly handling patient inquiries and forwarding specific trial-related queries to the coordination team. Their management of the front desk ensures that trial deliveries and essential medical supplies are accepted and distributed promptly, maintaining the operational efficiency.
